Burst for Prosperity and Highline Community     College Coaching for Prosperity© Training Program

Burst for Prosperity, in partnership with community organizations and a Master Certified Coach, has developed a coaching training program for frontline staff working with low-income individuals. The Coaching for Prosperity© program enhances the way service providers meet the needs of low-income adults to successfully complete some form of post-secondary education and achieve long-term financial success.

By training staff to use a collaborative approach that focuses on participants’ strengths rather than deficits, this new coaching model transforms the way caseworkers and other professionals work with clients. Staff who complete this training learn how to effectively empower individuals to take control of their own success and move permanently out of poverty by encouraging collaborative goal setting, trust building, listening, and networking.

Burst for Prosperity is now offering two training options through Highline Community College:

  • Three-Quarter Certificate Program. This program, beginning with the class Introduction to Coaching, allows you to work with a professional coach to go deeper in your learning of the coaching technique. Located on the main campus, the program offers 9 college credits and 60 CCEU credits with the International Coach Federation www.coachfederation.org.

Tuesdays, September 21-December 7, 6pm – 9pm (1 Saturday class required)

Main Campus Building 99, Room 132
